Wet permanent magnetic drum magnetic separator is a kind of magnetic separator commonly used in iron ore concentrators.
The wet magnetic separator is suitable for the wet magnetic separation of magnetite, magnetic pyrite, roasted ore, ilmenite and other materials with a particle size of less than 3mm. It is also used for iron removal of coal, non-metallic minerals, building materials and other materials.
The magnetic system of the wet magnetic separator is made of high-quality ferrite materials or composited with rare earth magnetic steel. The average magnetic induction intensity of the barrel surface is 100-600mT. According to the needs of users, it can provide a variety of different surface strength magnetic separation such as forward flow, semi-reverse flow, and reverse flow type. The magnetic separator has the advantages of simple structure, large processing capacity, convenient operation and easy maintenance. The process of the equipment is to finely crush the ore to 5mm or less than 3mm, and then use the permanent magnetic midfield magnetic separator to perform the magnetic separation of the wet magnetic separator. This process is of special significance for energy saving, effective utilization of extremely lean iron ore and improvement of the final iron concentrate quality.

Permanent magnet drum magnetic separator is a wet magnetic separator with high field strength.The composite magnetic system is composed of rare earth neodymium ferroboron magnetic block and ferrite magnetic block with high magnetic field intensity.Magnetic field action depth is big, not easy to demagnetize wait for a characteristic.Therefore, the processing capacity of the equipment is large, the adaptability to production fluctuations is strong, the selection effect is good.

The moving direction of the pulp is the same as the rotating direction of the cylinder or the moving direction of the product.The pulp is fed directly into the magnetic system of the cylinder from the feeding box, and the non-magnetic and weakly magnetic particles are discharged from the gap between the two bottoms of the cylinder.The magnetic ore particles are attracted on the surface of the cylinder. As the cylinder rotates to the weak magnetic field at the edge of the magnetic system, the ore particles are discharged to the concentrate trough by the unloading water pipe.The downstream magnetic separator has simple structure, large processing capacity, and can also be used in series. It is suitable for the coarse and fine selection of coarse and strong magnetic ores with particle size of 6 ~ 0mm, or for the recovery of magnetic heavy media.
Semi-countercurrent permanent magnet drum-type magnetic separator, the ore slurry is sent into the separation space from the bottom of the tank in a state of loose suspension. The movement direction of the slurry is basically the same as the direction of the magnetic field force. Therefore, the ore particle can reach the surface of the cylinder with high magnetic field force.In addition, the tailings are discharged from the tailings hole on the bottom plate, so that the height of the overflow surface can maintain the level of the pulp in the tank.The above two characteristics determine that the semi-countercurrent magnetic separator can obtain higher concentrate quality and metal recovery.As a result, it is widely used in the coarse separation and selection of highly magnetic ores with fine grains (< 0.2mm).This kind of magnetic separator can be used in series to improve the grade of concentrate.
